Class: Patriotic Cards with Cheryl Valadez

Join me Saturday afternoon and we'll make a couple of Tim Holtz inspired patriotic cards, getting appropriately inky in the process.  We'll play with some TH images, texture fades, and kraft core papers...heck, I'll even have my Vagabond in tow to round out the TH tools.  These cards have a bit vintage look accompanied by the trademark TH grunge style.  Add a pad of Vintage Photo or Gathered Twigs to your class kit along with a sponge applicator and you're all set.

June 30th, Saturday:  1:00pm - 4:00pm (class fee $25.00)

Class: The Never-Ending Card with Caroline Lawson

Join Caroline Friday afternoon and learn her secret behind the never-ending card.  This card folds and refolds, creating new cards with every twist and turn.  Just when you think you've seen them all, turn it over and get a new series of cards.  This is a wonderful project that will confound your friends and dumbfound everyone else.  Please, bing a paper cutter, a score board, and a good adhesive...not a glue stick.  Caroline suggests Glossy Accents; Zip-Dry would work or a small Zyron.

June 29th, Friday:  1:00pm - 4:00pm (class fee $30.00)

Two Great Classes and a Trunk Show with Judy Duke!!!

Join Judy Duke this Saturday for a day filled with creativity and fun!  She'll have her exquisite stamp images for sale during the trunk show, but she'll also be teaching 2 incredible classes that are perfect for Father's Day or any other occasion, for that matter.  Here are the details:

Framed Art with Judy Duke

This is a wonderful depiction of an elk in winter's snow.  In this class you will be making a double shadowbox with a wrap-around cover, using stamping, stippling, masking, and Liquid Applique techniques for snow, and of course lots of stamping to create a 3-D scene, all with our Inkredible Inks.

June 16th, Saturday:  10:00am - 1:00pm (class fee $35.00)

A Plethora of Cards with Judy Duke

These are fun and easy cards that use masking and stamping with colored pencil and chalk coloring techniques.  You will be able to make 4 to 8 finished cards.  Take both classes for $50.00!  Bring your favorite coloring medium, exact craft knife, cutting mat, and scissors.  All other materials will be provided.

June 16th, Saturday:  2:00pm - 4:00pm (class fee $25.00)

Class: Steampunk Box Workshop with Caroline Lawson

Join Caroline Saturday for a day of steampunk inspiration and create this picturesque box.  Caroline will supply the box, feet, corners, and paper.  If you have a box you'd like to use, please bring it along.  This is a workshop, so you'll have the opportunity to make this creation uniquely yours by incorporating various ephemera and metal bits you've collected over the years.  Need to enhance that collection for this project?  Hit your husband's tool box, you never know what treasures you'll discover.  Or head to the hardware store.  It's filled with aisles of metal bits perfect for this project and so many others.  Other things that might work...old bottles, springs, jewelry, thimbles, buttons, subway tokens, coins, etc.  You're only limited by your imagination!

You'll be using special adhesive for this project; Caroline likes Bond 527, but E6000 can also be used...just remember that it's toxic.

June 9th, Saturday:  10:00am - 4:00pm (class fee $50.00)

Class: Flowers and Lace Necklace with Kathy Rosecrans

Still displaced, your Blog Mistress is sketchily updating the blog as best she can.  Please bear with me and check with Nancy at CP2 to see samples or access the main CP2 website for class details.

Join Kathy tomorrow afternoon and create something stunning and original to wear or to gift.  Kathy has a green thumb when it comes to handmade flowers and the only thing more amazing than her lovely blooms are the projects on which she uses them.  Nothing short of amazing is this beautiful necklace constructed of flowers and lace.  Kathy is offering a discount on the class if you've recently taken her handmade flower workshop which was offered last Winter and earlier this Spring.

June 8th, Friday:  1:00pm - 4:00pm (class fee is $40.00, however receive a $15.00 discount if you've recently taken Kathy's handmade flower workshop)

2 Awesome Classes this Saturday!

Hello, lovely crafters and artists!  Your blog mistress (me) has been out of pocket for about a week now and I have gravely fallen down on my CP2 blogging duties.  My apologies to all.

I am popping in quickly to let you know that there are 2 awesome classes scheduled tomorrow, and while I don't have pics, I do have details:

Envelopes for Every Card with Sue Rosenberg

June 2nd, Saturday:  10:00am - 12:00pm (class fee $15.00)

Ever feel like breaking out of the A2 envelope rut?  Sue will show you how to create envelopes for every size card, quickly and easily.  Sue will have some supplies in class, but bring your class kit and add the following items if you have them:
scissors (pointed)
ruler (12")
bone folder
black ink pad (Versafine, Memento, Memories, etc.)
favorite coloring tools (markers, colored pencils, etc.)

To Dad with Love with Sue LaMeer

June 2nd, Saturday:  1:00pm - 4:00pm (class fee $25.00)

Two manly cards to delight the men in your life!  Perfect for Father's Day or any other event celebrating that special guy.

My apologies to these two amazing artists for not listing pics and posting this information timely.  Perhaps the blog will be back on track next week.  Cross you fingers!  Until then, check the calendar at the top of the page and you will find 3 new classes featuring art work by the talented Caroline Lawson.  Check out the details here, but pop into the shop to see these wonderful projects up close and in person.
