Class: Halloween Shrine w/ Teresa Stoa

Join Teresa Saturday to create this exceptional ode to the Spirit of Halloween. Eye of Bat and Wing of Newt might be a couple of the special items used to bring this mixed media sculpture to life, but you'll never know unless you attend Teresa's class to be sure. She uses a variety of materials and exceptional imagery to cast a spell on simple items and give them a ghoulish personality. You won't want to miss this class.

Class: All Hallow's Eve w/ Cheryl Valadez

I'm teaching a Halloween class this Saturday afternoon. We'll make 2 cards featuring awesome images by Impression Obsession. This company's Halloween release this year is spooky cool and it was tough narrowing down the images for these 2 card projects. We'll use Copics to give the images some ghoulish personality and I'll show everyone how to create the felt roses. At present, the Saturday class is full, but if you are interested in taking this class with me, Nancy has kindly offered to let me teach it again on Sunday, October 3rd from 1:00-4:00pm.

Class: Steampunk Beauty w/ Cheryl Thorpe

Join Cheryl Saturday and create a stunning mixed media art piece featuring materials denoting Steampunk stylings. What is Steampunk? In a nutshell, it's a genre combining various elements of science fiction and fantasy with technological innovations as Victorians may have envisioned them. Think of the fictional works of H.G. Wells or Jules Verne for inspiration regarding this anachronistic theme. Cheryl captures this genre perfectly by utilizing mechanical findings, laboratory specimen slides and test tubes highlighted with wax, along with vintage imagery. This piece needs to be seen in person to truly experience the creativity and intricate details that bring this Steampunk vision to life.

September 18th, Saturday: 10:00am - 2:00pm (class fee $40.00)

Class: Sewing Cards 2 with Kathy Rosecrans

Kathy works her magic to create 3 retro style cards using the fun sewing themed images from Hero Arts. These cards take me back to my childhood and remind me of hanging out at the fabric store with my mom while she poured through the vast pattern catalogues. Kathy has a way of capturing that wonderful nostalgia and adding a bit of pizazz using her trademark trims and embellishments. The results are always stunning!

September 11th, Saturday - 10:00am - 12:00pm (class fee $25.00)
